Partners Short-Deep
Train the passer to read depth and move forward/back through the contact.
How to run it
- 1
P1 tosses a short ball (~2m from net). P2 passes the short ball back to P1, who catches and tosses a deep ball (~7m). 5 short, 5 deep, switch. Tosses must clear the net height. Progression 1: P1 sets to himself, then sets the short/deep ball (no catches). Progression 2: P1 sets to himself, pokeys the short, hits a soft deep ball.
- 2
Coach emphasis: Move first, contact second — no reaching forward or back.
Why we run it
