How it works

Seasonal program details

Our programs run seasonally — summer, fall and winter — while the spring season is reserved for high school competition. High-school athletes finish NBV winter training January 31 as school preseason begins, while younger athletes continue through February. Sign up for an entire season and save, or simply join us for a week or a day based on your availability.

We typically run an under-12 group and a 12-and-over group with a dedicated coach for each. Training lasts anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the season.

Practice times and locations vary from season to season. We practice at multiple locations including Fleischmann Park, Lowdermilk Park, Paradise Coast Sports Complex and Estero Recreational Center.

Finally, private training is always available year-round from one of our certified coaches. Simply reserve a session for one or up to eight players at a time and location that works for you.

Skills testing

We like to establish each player's individual level through a series of basic skills tests. The tests advance throughout our program in level of difficulty and complexity. Our goal is to find out where our players are now, then set realistic goals given their available training time in order to measure their progress. It also helps players understand their own strengths and weaknesses for focused training.

Home team vs travel team

Two ways to compete with NBV

Every junior trains with the Home Team. Athletes ready for outside competition can be placed on the Travel Team after tryouts.

Home Team

For every athlete, every level

  • Everyone starts here — no tryout needed
  • Plays local tournaments in Naples: Volleyball Life events and our own series
  • Trains in your chosen track: Homeschool, After School, or Indoor Players
  • No travel commitment — register by day, week, month or season
  • Best for building fundamentals and consistency

Travel Team

For athletes ready to compete beyond Naples

  • Everything in Home Team, plus away tournaments across Florida
  • Placed through tryouts and coach evaluation
  • Competes in AVP Next, p1440 and regional qualifiers
  • Coach on site at travel events for warm-ups and between-match coaching
  • College recruiting support: video, exposure events and coach contact
