Over on Two
This drill works on developing the 'over on two' option whereby the non-receiver attacks the ball over on the second contact.
How to run it

A coach or athlete serves the ball to two passers either from the baseline or from the middle of the court depending on the level of the players and the focus of the drill. Depending on the where the pass goes the non-passer will either set up the ball for a normal attack or they will take the opportunity to attack the ball 'over on two'. Easy short serves are the best for introducing this tactic to athletes as it is easier to attack 'on two' if the pass travels up and down rather than forward. Once the athletes start feeling comfortable playing the ball over on two you can introduce areas of the court to hit into.
