Servers vs. Runners

Train fast, accurate serves under live defender pressure — server must beat the runner to the ground.

How to run it

  1. 1

Runner tries to touch the serve with one or two hands (depending on level). Server tries to land the ball without the runner touching it. Useful for serving to specific zones (e.g., short serves — runner starts at the back line). Progression 1: runner must make a volleyball touch AND catch to score.

  2. 2

Coach emphasis: Speed is a weapon. Fast topspin serves beat the runner.
