On 2
Train the on-2 attack (setter takes the second touch) under live competitive pressure.
How to run it
- 1
Coach feeds a free ball. Teams must use only 2 touches. Goal: make the second touch an attack (jump attack at higher levels). The court as a whole must get 3 DIGS off 'On 2' attacks before scoring phase begins. If a team kills the third On 2, no point. On-2s don't have to be consecutive. Scoring phase: On-2 kill = 3 points, anything else = 1 point. Losing team rotates after each scored point. First team to 7 wins.
- 2
Coach emphasis: Second-touch attack is the goal. Keep the ball alive if you don't have a chance.
